It was so fun to take two days last week to meet up with friends! I met with Wendy on Tuesday and Melissa on Friday. My mission was to finish my mother-in-law's Christmas cards. (For those of you who do not know, I love making cards! It is something I have been doing for more than ten years.) Every year I make Marlene's cards. I love doing it, but do not enjoy how I usually come up with a design in May or June....and then am rushing in October or November to finish them! I decided instead of spending time scrap booking, I would finish the cards first. Not only was I able to finish them, but I also designed a few new cards.... including my Christmas cards! I am so excited and feel accomplished!
This is my mother-in-law's card. I found the idea on the web site www.splitcoaststampers.com. They have a great gallery where you can see what others have posted for stamp sets from Stampin' Up and other companies. It is as simple as searching by the name of the stamp set. The hard part is looking through all the examples and choosing only one!

Since I finished Marlene's cards, I guess it is time to set a new goal. Maybe I should try to finish my Christmas cards early this year! I am so glad in the middle of all of the moving and settling in I was able to have a few quite hours with friends!
