I believe I handle things pretty well in life. I usually roll with whatever comes my way.... to a point. It was very hard for me to deal with the blow of another parent having cancer. My mother has been amazing through it all. She is so strong. Her spirit is simply amazing and she is determined to beat cancer. She is my hero. Her attitude, spirit and strength has pulled all of us together and through the beginning stages of her personal crisis. Now it is our turn to really be there for her.
We have spent the past month in prayer. The doctors feel this was caught early enough that they should be able to remove the tumor and part of her liver...and her prognosis is good. We rejoice in their hope and pray they are correct!
Today, my mother begins her fight against one of the most evil things I've seen. I pray the doctors and nurses are able to cure her. I know the next few months are going to be very difficult, but we are all confident God is in control.
