One of my favorite things is to make cards. Each summer I enjoy getting to make our Christmas cards for the upcoming holiday season. I learned early on that I need to make them during the summer, while on vacation. Once the new school year begins, there is no time for big projects like making 110 Christmas cards!
Here is a sneak peek at our 2011 cards!
This is the card John and I will be sending out. This is made using the Sizzix Deer Bigz Die, Joy Sizzlit, and the Dearly embossing folder. The cream/tan background, which is embossed, is Core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock. I then used a Stampin' Up sanding block to bring out the tan. The deer is made using Stampin' Up cardstock. The red paper is scrapbook paper from Hobby Lobby.
This is the card I am making for my mother-in-law to send. This is made with all Stampin' Up products. I used a retired green, :( one of my mother-in-law's favorite, and Real Red card stock and ink. I also used the Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder, 5-Petal Flower punch, 1 3/4" Scallop Circle punch, Eyelet Border punch, Frost White shimmer paint, and a rhinestone.
