We went on our first family vacation in June. We took K to Sesame Place. I really think it is the happiest place on earth! K had so much fun!!! I saw an advertisement for the park in Adoptive Families magazine. It is the perfect park for a family. K loves Sesame Street. We take her every January to see Sesame Street Live and her bedroom is even decorated with Sesame Street characters. She had been so excited about the trip, she barely slept the last two days before going to the park.
Our plan was to go to the park one day. Upon doing a little research, we found out that the lowest ticket was a 2-day pass. When we booked our trip, we were upgraded to a season pass. We really had no plans of spending extra time at the park. Boy were we wrong!!!
We arrived in Philadelphia on Monday evening. We planned on going to the Crayola Factory for a half day and then to Sesame Street. We had book a dinning experience with Elmo and friends for the evening. When we first got to the park, K saw the roller coaster. She was so excited and wanted to ride. I really thought it would scare her....wrong again. She loved it! We picked up an autograph book at one of the gift shops. K met several of the characters on the main street. She was so amazed! The dinning experience was also really neat. K even got to dance with Cookie Monster! The next day we split our day between dry rides, shows, water rides and then back to dry rides. We really packed in the fun. We ended up spending Tuesday afternoon/evening, all day/night Wednesday and another afternoon/evening on Thursday at the park. I think John and I had just as much fun as our little girl!
Sesame Place was a wonderful vacation spot! We cannot wait to visit again!
