Our DD has been asking for a sibling for more than a year. We have had several talks with her during the past few months about what it would be like IF we adopt another baby. Even though we are looking into different options for adopting another child, we decided we would not tell any of our extended family or friends until we officially sign with a new agency.
WELL..... DD was with my parents on Sunday. My father was talking about seeing his brother when K said, "You have a brother? Well, guess what? My mommy and daddy are going to adopt a brother for me!" We tried to play it off when they told us about her comment. I know my parents.... they didn't believe one word of it!
We did received our official application today..... so it is almost time to tell the family. For now, we will continue to "act" like nothing is going on and pretend that the cat is still in the bag. :)
